Miscellaneous Costs

The ability to enter miscellaneous costs is a crucial component of iMaint. When maintenance is performed, there may be a variety of costs incurred besides parts and labor. These costs may include hazardous material disposal, man lift rental, and per diem expense rates for contractors. iMaint offers an easy way to track such costs for both scheduled and non-scheduled work.

Miscellaneous cost information may be entered in the procedure master information, the misc. cost master information, directly into a work order, or directly into a purchase order. The following is an example of a miscellaneous cost entered in the Misc. Cost master file:

  1. From the Navigation Tree under Additional Information, Misc. Cost is selected.

  2. Enter disp-oil in the ID field as the miscellaneous cost.

  3. Dispose of oil is entered in the Description field and $50.00 is entered in the Unit Cost field.

  4. Save the information.

Once the information entered is saved, it can be cross-referenced in the Misc. Cost sub tab of the Procedure Master File, in a Work Order, or in a Purchase Order.

Note: The miscellaneous cost used in a procedure can be attached to a planned maintenance schedule when a schedule is run. Any work orders currently due will be created. The miscellaneous cost can also be used when an unplanned work order (corrective/emergency) is created.
