Dashboard Permissions
The iMaint Dashboard application is an optional tool used in conjunction with iMaint. Dashboards are a window of information, periodically updating, that may be left open on your desktop to display real-time data. Dashboards give users a glance into all the events happening within the maintenance system. Unlike a report, the dashboard data periodically updates as your employees are working, giving you an instant snapshot of your iMaint data. However, you do have the option to print the components on your dashboard.
The iMaint Dashboard application also allows you to customize dashboards and components to meet your specific needs. You may not edit the default iMaint dashboards and components, but you may copy and edit individual components to add to your own custom dashboard.
Dashboard Permissions, accessed under the iMaint Admin module, allows a single dashboard and all its components to be published to multiple iMaint users. When you create a custom dashboard, the Administrator can assign permissions to other users to view the custom dashboard and components.
Assigning and restricting permissions is easy; simply open the form and select a dashboard. Next, using arrow keys, move the iMaint User ID between the Members and Non-Members boxes.
Note: When updating to iMaint version 4.1, all iMaint users will have permissions to all dashboards until the Admin uses this new form to restrict permissions. If you create a new dashboard, you will need to grant permissions to other end users to access the dashboard.
