Password Policy
iMaint allows you to setup rules to regulate the strength of your iMaint login passwords. Choose the options you wish to make sure your users are building a strong and secure password to log into the iMaint databases. Use the Reset Fields button to clear the settings and begin again.
Once you have defined your password policy, select to apply it to this specific site or all iMaint sites and click Apply.

Enable Strong Passwords |
If checked, these settings override the User Profile Information tab fields for changing passwords and inactivity limit. |

Maximum Length |
Enter the maximum number of characters the password should contain. |

Minimum Length |
Enter the minimum number of characters the password should contain. |

Uppercase Required |
Set how many characters within the password must be uppercase. |
|
Lowercase Required |
Set how many characters within the password must be lowercase. |
|
Numeric Required |
Set how many characters within the password must be numeric. |

Expire Password After Days |
In days, define when the password will expire. |
|
User Can't Repeat Last Passwords |
Define how many passwords back, the user is not able to reuse. For example, a user must create 3 unique different passwords in a row before they can go back and use the first password again. |

Apply Policy to Current Site |
Select this option to apply these settings to this site only. |

Apply Policy to All Sites |
Select this option to apply these settings across all your sites. |
