One Time Cost
iMaint allows users to add a One Time Cost. This entry will not have an ID and is not a value that is validated from the Other Cost table. When you enter a One Time Cost it will post a transaction similar to the Other Cost transaction records. This sub tab off the Asset form can be used for tracking costs that are not applied on a regular basis or occur under regular business processes. For example, One Time Costs may apply when a Resource takes a class for certification and the cost does not apply as Other but you still want to track the cost. Use the One Time Cost sub tab to log the price of the training class.
This will be the only cost applied to the asset that automatically updates the totals without having to run Period End Processing. You may also change the One Tim Costs if you need to make a correction. A negative transaction will be written for the original amount and a second transaction will post with the new date and time and correct amount.
