Work Order Asset/Procedure Codes Sub
You may set up multiple codes for an asset/procedure combination. Codes allow you to capture and record a value or reading specific to your company needs.
Define different codes, such as readings, failure codes, repair codes and vibrations, can be found under the Additional Information module. You will need to define a code type (failure codes) and then you can define the different code IDs (noise, pressure) that belong to that type.
Back on the work orders, employees can use the Asset/Procedure Code sub tab to log the values of these codes. If the Current Value of the code is outside the Range of Values, or not within the defined parameters of the Normal State or Normal Value defined on the Asset record, iMaint will automatically create a new work request to resolve the issue.
The key to triggering corrective work requests is to define the code on the Asset and include a valid procedure to perform. Codes defined at the procedure level will not trigger work requests.
Note: Labels with red text denote required fields. You must enter information in these fields.

Field |
Description |
|
Reading Date |
When a code record is added to a work order this field will remain blank until the user enters the code value. When a Current Value or Current State is entered this date will default to the current date and time, but may be changed. You may not enter a future date and time if the Site setting is enabled to prevent future work dates and times. This field cannot be blank if a Current Value or Current State is saved. Once saved, if the Current Value or Current State is changed, this date remains the same, but can be changed. |
|
Code Type ID |
A unique identifier for the code type associated with a procedure. This field accepts numbers or letters (alphanumeric) up to 25 characters, including spaces. |
|
Code ID |
A unique identifier for the code associated with a procedure. Available Code IDs are limited to those which have a Code Type ID matching the ID entered into the Code Type ID field. This field accepts numbers or letters (alphanumeric) up to 25 characters, including spaces. |

|
Current Value |
A numeric value associated with a Code ID. Based on the Code ID and Code Type ID, this can represent lost time, failure codes, repair codes, oil viscosity, bearing vibration, pressure, etc. Information in this field is in numeric format (000,000,000.00). |
|
Current State |
The value of a predictive indicator that matches the state in the Procedure/Code table. For example, a Code Type of predictive with a Code of valve condition may want to return a Code State of open. |
|
As Found |
The reading of the calibration point as found when first observing the object on the work order. Information in this field is in numeric format (000,000,000.00). |
|
As Left |
The reading of the calibration point as it was left (after making adjustments, corrections, etc.) after the work has been completed. This information is useful for calibration as well as predictive readings on equipment/assets. Information in this field is in numeric format (000,000,000.00). |
|
Normal Value |
The expected or normal value associated with a Code ID. |
|
Normal State |
The expected normal state associated with a Code ID. |
|
Lower Alarm |
The lower alarm for this code line item. If the user enters a normal value on this line item which is less than the lower alarm, a pop up message displays alerting the user to the alarm condition. |
|
Upper Alarm |
The upper alarm for this code line item. This field is read-only and cannot be changed. |
|
Upper Limit |
From Procedure or Asset - the value of an indicator. For example, a Code Type of predictive with a Code of bearing vibration may want to return a code upper limit of 1.6. Information in this field is in numeric format (000,000,000.00). |
|
Lower Limit |
From the Procedure - the value of an indicator. For example, a Code Type of predictive with a Code of bearing vibration may want to return a code limit of 1.2. Information in this field is in numeric format (000,000,000.00). |
|
Comments |
Any additional information related to this code entry. This includes information about the code, or why the state or value are not normally acceptable. This field can contain any combination of numbers or letters (alphanumeric) up to 40,000 characters, including spaces. |
