Costing

The Costing tab details contact-related costing information including department, skill level and costing method.  Costing Method is important; you can base the cost of labor for this employee individually, by labor grade or by using a generic value on the pulled from the Site form.   

 

Note: Labels with red text denote required fields. You must enter information in these fields.

 

Field

Description

Department

A unique identifier for the part of the organization that the resource/employee reports to. You can enter new text directly into this field or you can use the Standard Lookup icon to search for an ID already existing in the iMaint system. Department ID accepts numbers or letters (alphanumeric) up to 25 characters, including spaces.

Department Description

Description of a specific department referred to in the Department field. Department Description accepts numbers or letters (alphanumeric) up to 25 characters, including spaces.

Skill Level

The level of experience of a contact. For example, if a contact's craft is Electrician, skill may be used for something like Master Electrician or Apprentice. Skill Level accepts numbers or letters (alphanumeric) up to 25 characters, including spaces.

Costing Method

Specified method of costing. User can select between four options: None, Contact, Labor Grade and Site.  Depending upon what you select, the below fields may display.

Labor Grade

The Labor Grade for a specified resource. The field is visible only if the Costing Method is Labor Grade. Labor Grade accepts numbers or letters (alphanumeric) up to 25 characters, including spaces.

Base Rate

The base rate that will be applied to work orders. This field is visible only if the Costing Method is 'Contact'. This field accepts numbers in currency format ($0000.00) and cannot be negative.
