Availability
This tab shows the employee's schedule for a year (which can be updated as necessary). The drop down box at the top allows the user to select the year and this is completed with a matrix showing Sunday through Saturday as columns and the weeks of the year as rows.
This grid opens in edit mode and the user can scroll to a specific cell and enter data. Each cell holds a Shift ID. After filling in the schedule, you may copy this schedule to any other employee that has the same schedule. Or duplicate the schedule to meet the needs of other employees. Use the "Duplicate Resource" button, which will prompt for any number of contacts and will copy the specific schedule into all the selected contacts schedule. Make sure your employees are eligible to work the Shift ID's used to create the work schedule.
Tip: Create a vacation or an unavailable Shift ID with the Duration field equal to 0. These Shift ID's will represent the time an employee will not be available for work. This availability tab is used by the Resource Allocation module, which will display who is available to work on specific work orders with open hours. Using a Shift ID with zero hours in the Duration field will remove the resource from the calculation at the appropriate times.
